Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until light and creamy.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, salt, and crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Shape dough into a disk, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Cut into heart shapes and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
- If desired, whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled cookies. Let set before serving.
