Description

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 30 chocolate or vanilla candy kisses, unwrapped
  • Optional pink sanding sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  3. Mix in strawberry gelatin powder until evenly blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir in milk until a soft dough forms.
  6. Cover and refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop dough into 1-inch balls and roll in pink sanding sugar if desired.
  9. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set.
  10. Immediately press a candy kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Chill dough well for easier scooping and to help cookies hold their shape.
  • Pink sanding sugar adds color, but you can skip it if you prefer plain cookies.
  • For a vegetarian option, use a plant-based candy kiss or a chocolate drop instead of the regular kiss.
