- Eggs, oil, and water as required by the cake mix box
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare strawberry cake mix according to package directions. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Sprinkle chopped strawberries and white chocolate chips evenly over the batter.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the cream cheese into the batter. Do not overmix.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, until edges are set but center remains slightly gooey.
- Cool before slicing to allow the creamy pockets to set slightly.
