Description

Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake: A 5-ingredient, creamy and bold dinner that delivers sushi-house flavor in a comforting, weeknight-friendly bake. Easy to make and perfect for satisfying sushi cravings at home.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 400 g salmon fillet
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Optional: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, or nori sheets for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix cooked rice with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Spread evenly into the baking dish.
  3. Season salmon with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Bake until cooked through, then flake with a fork.
  4. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, chili sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  5. Fold flaked salmon into the spicy sauce mixture.
  6. Spread the salmon mixture evenly over the rice layer.
  7. Bake until heated through and slightly golden on top.
  8. Garnish as desired and serve warm, scooping onto nori sheets if preferred.

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
