Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter completely.
- Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Gently fold in rice cereal until evenly coated.
- Press half of the mixture into the prepared pan.
- Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the layer, then top with remaining cereal mixture.
- Gently press down and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Let set until firm, then cut into bars and serve.
Notes
- For chewier bars, you can use a bit more marshmallows or heat the mixture slightly longer to fully melt.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting for cleaner edges.
