  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 lb deli-sliced roast beef
  • 12 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the dish.
  3. Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard evenly over the rolls.
  4. Layer roast beef evenly over the rolls.
  5. Place cheese slices on top of the beef.
  6. Add the top halves of the rolls.
  7. Mix melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds.
  8. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops.
  9. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 18–20 minutes.
  10. Uncover and bake another 8–10 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  11. Slice and serve warm.
