Description

Marry Me Chicken: Juicy, tender chicken simmered in a rich parmesan cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil—an irresistibly flavorful main that looks fancy but is easy to make. Perfect for date nights, family dinners, or whenever you want a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt, or to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, heavy cream, and chicken broth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 8–10 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, continue simmering a few minutes longer until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan gives the best flavor.
  • You can substitute half-and-half for the cream, but the sauce will be lighter and less rich.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to retain juiciness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
