Description

Low Carb Cheeseburger Casserole is a comforting bun-free take on a classic cheeseburger. This creamy, cheesy casserole combines ground halal beef, onions, garlic, paprika, and a rich halal heavy cream base, baked with cheddar and mozzarella until bubbly. A family-friendly, keto-inspired dinner that’s easy to prepare and perfect for meal prep.

  • 1 lb ground beef (halal)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup halal heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings: diced pickles, green onions, sugar-free ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a casserole dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
  3. Add garlic and ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Stir in paprika, mustard powder, salt, pepper, and tomato paste.
  5. Spread beef mixture evenly into the casserole dish.
  6. In a bowl, whisk halal heavy cream and eggs until smooth, then pour over beef.
  7. Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until set and bubbly.
  9. Rest 5 minutes before serving. Add optional toppings and enjoy.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder.
  • You can substitute different cheeses (Swiss, Monterey Jack) as desired.
