- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 6 slices cheddar or American cheese, cut in half
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- Optional: pickle slices
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Slice slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
- Spread cooked beef evenly over the buns.
- Add cheese slices evenly on top of the beef.
- Spread ketchup and mayonnaise on the top halves of the buns and place them on.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Uncover and bake another 5 minutes until tops are lightly golden.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- For a faster version, assemble sliders ahead of time and refrigerate; bake when ready.
- Use your favorite cheese—cheddar, American, or Swiss all work well.
- To add extra tang, mix a little pickle juice into the mayonnaise or add pickle slices on top.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven for a quick next-day meal.
