  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey (halal)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 large low-carb tortillas
  • 4 small low-carb crispy tostada shells or baked low-carb tortilla rounds
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ¼ cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • Optional: jalapeños or hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook ground meat with onion until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Lay out each low-carb tortilla and spoon seasoned meat into the center.
  4. Sprinkle cheese over the meat, then place a crispy low-carb tostada on top for crunch.
  5. Add lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of sour cream.
  6. Fold tortilla edges up and over the filling, forming a sealed hexagon.
  7. Lightly oil a skillet and cook crunchwraps seam-side down until golden and crisp, then flip and brown the other side.
  8. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, toast the tostadas first.
  • Cook on a lightly oiled skillet to prevent sticking and improve browning.
  • To make dairy-free, use dairy-free cheese and sour cream.
  • For lighter versions, increase lettuce and reduce cheese.
