- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup beef broth
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in cream and beef broth, scraping any brown bits from the pan. Add Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard (if using), whisking until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Return the steaks to the pan, spoon the creamy garlic sauce over the top, and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with thyme or parsley and serve immediately with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or rice.

- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes after searing to keep juices locked in.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
