Description

Juicy Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce: A restaurant-quality, pan-seared beef recipe featuring tender halal steaks smothered in a rich, creamy garlic sauce. Perfect for date nights, special occasions, or an elevated weeknight dinner, this 2-serving dish delivers bold flavor in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 halal beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in cream and beef broth, scraping any brown bits from the pan. Add Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard (if using), whisking until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Return the steaks to the pan, spoon the creamy garlic sauce over the top, and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with thyme or parsley and serve immediately with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or rice.

Notes

  • Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes after searing to keep juices locked in.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Leftover sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated gently.
  • Feel free to substitute steak cuts with your favorite cut, as long as they’re suitable for pan-searing.
