Description

Easy Crispy Cabbage Burger Bake – a quick, oven-baked, gluten-free main dish featuring juicy beef patties atop crispy cabbage rounds, delivering all the comfort of burgers with fewer carbs and extra crunch. Perfect for weeknights and family meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head green cabbage
  • lbs ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt, or to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, pickles, shredded lettuce, sugar-free burger sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice cabbage into 3/4-inch thick rounds and arrange on the baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil and lightly season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast cabbage for 15 minutes, flip, and roast another 10 minutes until lightly browned and crisp at the edges.
  4. Meanwhile, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Form into patties sized to fit the cabbage rounds.
  5. Remove cabbage from oven, place patties on top of each round, and return to oven.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until burgers are cooked through.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 2–3 more minutes until melted.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • You can assemble and refrigerate patties up to 1 day ahead; re-form before baking.
  • For dairy-free or vegan variation, omit cheddar cheese or use a vegan cheese substitute.
  • Oven times may vary; adjust to achieve crisp edges on the cabbage.
