  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (halal-friendly)
  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 4 sandwich buns

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  3. Add ground chicken and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and chicken broth.
  6. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until thick and saucy.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Spoon mixture onto buns and serve warm.
