- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 8–10 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the halal ground beef or turkey sausage in a skillet. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the meat, onion, garlic, marinara sauce, broth, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, paprika, pepper, and salt to the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
- During the final 30 minutes, stir in the broken lasagna noodles. Cover and cook until tender.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Ladle the soup into bowls and top each serving with a generous scoop of the cheese mixture.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
