Description
Bang Bang Chicken Sliders: Crispy chicken tossed in a creamy, spicy bang bang sauce, stacked on soft slider buns for irresistible bite-sized party snacks. Perfect for game day, entertaining, and weeknight dinners with bold, crowd-pleasing flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into slider-size pieces
- ½ cup cornstarch
- ½ cup buttermilk (or milk with a squeeze of lemon juice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Oil for frying or air frying
- 12 mini slider buns
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to spice level)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp lime juice
- Optional toppings: lettuce, sliced pickles, or shredded cabbage
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, add buttermilk. Dip each chicken piece into the buttermilk, then coat evenly in the cornstarch mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken pieces until golden and crispy, about 4–5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels. (Alternatively, air fry at 375°F for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway.)
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
- Toss the cooked chicken in the bang bang sauce until well coated.
- Assemble sliders: place lettuce or cabbage on the bottom bun, add chicken, and top with extra sauce if desired. Add the top bun and secure with a toothpick if serving for parties.
Notes
- For best crisp, avoid overcrowding the pan when frying.
- Air frying yields a lighter option: 375°F for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Adjust spice by increasing or decreasing sriracha.
- Can be made with chicken tenders instead of bite-sized pieces.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat in oven or air fryer.
